I did this piece of artwork for my husband for Christmas 2015. I have seen some pretty incredible pieces of artwork lately on a Facebook Scratchboard Artist page that I am a member of….. you should check it out. There are some very creative people out there. I am truly inspired to try adding some watercolour to the scratchboard art once done the etchng aspect. From what I have seen, they can turn out so very beautiful. I myself have always worked in the black and white, so I am absolutely going to give adding colour a try to my next piece.
Size: Approximately 12 x 12
This is my Two Wolves artwork, done in scratchboard.
This print was a limited edition of 100, but is SOLD OUT.
This picture of a Red-Tailed Hawk will be run as a Limited Edition, and offered for sale later this year.
Please let me know if you have an interest in purchasing one. It can be framed into an 11 x 14 frame, with an 8 x 10 mat insert (or a custom mat cut to the dimensions you choose).
This is a scratchboard drawing … which is a type of etching process using special paper, that can be found in most art stores. It comes in various colours, but I am partial to black (with a white underlay).
This is a Bald Eagle drawing I did quite a few years ago. It is actually a reverse drawing, meaning you scratch away the black colour to reveal the white underneath. If you want to learn more about this technique, visit my main page and search for scratchboard. This is a limited edition, and there are still some available for sale.
